Layered Blouse

I know it sounds weird, but I've come to the point where I find it easier to make my clothes rather than go shopping.

This is a Burda Pattern for a change (Wrap Blouse Burdastyle 04/2014). I liked its simplicity but had to add some stripes. The fact that the stripes on the sleeve coincide with those on the front bodice is pure coincidence. Lucky me.

A-line Raglan

When given the choice between spending my free time sewing or blogging... well, you've guessed. I am sorry. For those of you coming back to this space once in a while, a sort of weird, psychedelic, pleated A-line raglan creation. And you might have noticed I've given up on mending ripped knees - a girl needs shorts, too.

Baby socks

I have to quickly post these before it gets far too warm to look at woolen socks. I used this pattern which was really easy to follow.

Carnival baby doll

No way the baby doll could be left without a carnival costume. Made by a very caring baby doll mom.

Handmade Dollhouse

Created in memory of the fantastic dollhouse I got to play with when I was little. Playmobil compatible, because these are their favourite flea market finds.

For the purpose of taking some pictures I moved some furniture and removed 2 circus elephants. I shouldn't have. I got told off big time. Have to remember, it is their dollhouse - not mine. Will put it all back as it was now. No time to write more.

Oversized Hooded Sweater

The beach is empty now, but for these kids of mine it is still perfectly warm enough to have a quick swim. Even if we get there completely unprepared. At the sight of the sea they get undressed immediately and jump in. Who needs a towel when you can just put on a big hooded sweater.

I would love to make more of these. Only I did not create a pattern. I just spent an afternoon playing around with some left over fabric. Not sure I'll be able to retrace my steps.

Checkered top

While I made a new top she made a guitar.

She disappeared into her room with an idea.
Hours later she reappeared with a huge grin on her face, a brand new guitar in her hands and a very urgent request. 'I need you to help me attach the strings. Now!'

I dropped everything immediately to help her because I understand. When I need her help to try the fit I can't wait either. And I should know how to be patient at my age.

The pattern for the top is from Happy Homemade vol. 2 - same as this one.

A baby doll carrier ...

... for a very dedicated 4 year old baby doll mum.

We can't leave the baby at home. What if it starts crying and we are not there?
And the baby doll pram is just not very practical. With a baby doll carrier you can eat ice cream and carry the baby at the same time. Unbeatable.

If only I had known, I would have made a baby doll carrier much sooner. Her big sister has placed an order, too.

While everyone else is on holiday ...

... the sky over Barcelona arranged for a special treat for those sitting on the balcony after a normal day in the office.

Thank you very much.
